it's about 3 months of building...

this is a bad concept..  Building from source is worthless and so are most 
of the pkg's out there.. see mrtg :)
rpm based installs will play nice however...

The OS-UPDATE is not ment to work around every crappy pkg out there.  it's 
ment to update the regular RaQ4 os.
